Oh Baby!
On Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting this stunning baby girl. She was just as sweet and curious as she looks in these photographs. I think she was more like a porcelain doll than any baby I have ever seen, she has absolutely perfect skin with the most beautiful colouring. And you can see just how much her parents adore her!
I meant to blog these last night but I was too busy looking at more beautiful photos of her and got carried away with editing instead!
Christmas Mini Sessions!
Last weekend I completed my mini session weekend in Sydney – it was just a little busy! I am keeping most of the images from these mini sessions under wraps for now, but I had to share just a few and I hope to sneak in a few more in the coming weeks (days?!).
I have photographed all of these children at least once before and I have to say I just adore seeing them grow up before my camera. I really do have the best clients, so fun, and intrepid in the face of the dramatic change in weather we had on Saturday. Two of my families braved the beach in miserable weather and made the most of it – thank you all for being so wonderful!
A baby boy!
I don’t know why it is, but I seem to photograph an awful lot of girls, especially this year. I do believe he is only my second boy for the year and he was divine! And so strong! I just love that little foot stretching out his wrap in the portraits taken in his stunning nursery.
You can just see how much love there is in this family in every portrait I have of them together. This little guy has some seriously doting, gentle and loving parents!
And speaking of the parents – I hope you enjoy this sneak peak, I can’t wait to show you the rest of your images, it was a beautiful session.
Pushing Up!
When I talk to clients about the best times to photograph their babies I tell them (obviously) how I love Newborn babies. After that the other great ages/stages to capture are “Pushing Up”, “Sitting Up” and “Standing Up”. Capturing all of these stages makes for a stunning “Baby’s First Year” book and really demonstrates how fast they grow.
But any one of these stages on their own is a wonderful point in time to capture your baby.
As it happens Summer is not just at the “Pushing Up” stage – she is quite literally doing push ups! And she’s doing them all the time. She’s actually given herself a blood blister on the tip of her big toe from all the push ups.
She’s also right on the cusp of the Sitting Up stage. For some babies these stages are well spread, and truthfully Summer has been pushing up strongly for quite some time. But the actual push ups have been quickly followed by sitting (and crossing rooms!). She’s also full of smiles and oh so curious. I really do love photographing babies of all ages.
Sydney Christmas Mini Sessions
On the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of October I will be offering a very limited number of sessions in Sydney. These are the last sessions I have available in Sydney this year.
So for all of you in Sydney who have done Christmas cards with me in the past, or would like to do so this year, who would like to give portraits of your children as gifts, who want to update the family portrait on your wall or just want to meet me and have your first session – this event is for you!
Christmas mini sessions are all inclusive packages for a set fee of $500, which covers:
- a 30 minute mini session for your child or family, held at or near Balmoral Beach
- 5-10 images on a beautifully presented disk & in a web gallery for one year
- One 8×12″ Custom Art Print.
- 50 Custom Designed Greeting Cards
Anyone wanting more images should book either one of my standard* Sydney packages – a mini session (more time & images) or a full session (even more time & images!). If you want a longer session you should read the extra notes below and then contact me immediately to discuss options, as this would reduce the number of “Christmas Minis” available and time will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
So apart from being a great deal how is this different from my usual sessions?
- It’s short and sweet, which I think is great for everyone at such a busy time of year.
- You get the disk, cards and a portrait for your wall (or to give to Granny) included in the price.
- You come to me for the shoot.
- There won’t be time for clothing changes or props (except maybe a favourite teddy that just has to come).
- There won’t be an ordering session – all the hard stuff is decided in advance! You can of course add some extras if you like. Read the fine print about that below.
What remains the same?
- You get to spend some quality time with me – even if it is short and sweet .
- You get stunning custom portraits and custom designed cards.
- You may add on canvas’ & prints, albums & books if you wish.
- Your session fee (the $500) needs to be paid in full to hold your place.
Contact me to book your Christmas Mini Session now.
The Fine Print
There will be no in person ordering session for these packages – all your images will be on the disk, keeping things simple for you and for me! However, instead of an in person ordering session you will have a one week window where you can choose from your web gallery which image/s you want for your included custom greeting cards. During this time you may also order additional prints at my special “from your disk” pricing (shown on my full price list, which will be provided when you book your session). Because these packages are already so well priced the special “from your disk” pricing will only apply to orders placed during that week. During this time you may also order Mini Accordion Albums for $75 (normally $150), these make wonderful gifts! Best of all, during your ordering week you can upgrade your mini session package to include a 20×30″ canvas for $300.
* The details of my normal Sydney packages are here, during this special Christmas Mini Session event a set of 50 custom Greeting cards (and the other special prices offered with the Christmas Minis) will also be included if you want a wider selection of images and choose to book one of my standard Sydney packages instead.
If you would like to book one of these sessions contact me now as time is short and spaces are very limited!
