Sydney Sessions – June 2009
I have spoken to quite a few people about my upcoming series of sessions in Sydney but it’s taken me quite a while to iron out all the details and make an announcement. So here it is!
I will be in Sydney during the last week of June and offering a limited number of sessions while I am in town. Sessions will be available during the afternoon/early evening of Monday the 29th of June and Tuesday the 30th of June.
Part of what has delayed this announcement has been finalising dates, the other part is finalising a brand new pricing structure for “Travel Sessions”. These new prices will apply for my sessions in Sydney this June so go check them out, go on, do it now.
Done that? Right. Well the great news about me being in town is that there is no travel fee AND mini sessions are available. Mini sessions are a great option for smaller families and toddlers and with the saving on the travel fee while I am already in town they are fabulous value too.
These sessions are only a month away and I have very limited spaces available so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
Baby Z – Adelaide Hills Newborn Revisited
Ok so it’s VERY unusual for me to go back to capture more portraits of a newborn, but this time I had to do it. Partly because this family is very dear to me. Partly because I had promised big sister the photo of her feet with her new brother and it didn’t work out the first time. And partly for the tattoo that I found out about too late in the original session.
Tattoos and newborns are not usually my thing – I don’t mind them but I don’t go out of my way to capture them the way some photographers do. But a tattoo of big sister’s hand print on Dad’s arm? Now that is something that I couldn’t resist.
Baby Z – Adelaide Hills Newborn
Today I was lucky enough to spend some more time with Baby Z and his gorgeous family. At just 3 days old he was the perfect model and his proud sister wasn’t too shabby either!
After checking out the the photos I posted from Z’s birth, his Dad had a look around the blog, noticed Baby S on my scales and wondered if we might try that with Z. Mum did one better and pulled out Grandma’s own antique scales, three sets of them no less! I also found quite a few other gorgeous objects to use in our session. I love being able to use props that belong to a baby’s family, so I was very excited.
Thanks so much for today guys! Hopefully we will squeeze in another visit before you go back to Ceduna so I can work that tatoo into a shot! And perhaps that cute hat that I completely forgot to use . And for those of you still thinking about your baby’s newborn session – if you have any perfectly positioned and perfectly appropriate tatoos – tell me about them more than 10 minutes before I have to leave!
Adelaide Newborn: Casting Call Session Three
Do you remember this gorgeous couple? Viv had the most perfectly round belly I have ever seen. Now they have the cutest little (almost) two year old ever and a gorgeous new baby girl.
Baby C is so sweet and small that she was just perfect for some of the shots that I forgot to take in the last casting call session for a smaller newborn. Namely the antique scales! I bought these scales more than 6 months ago and have yet to have a baby small enough to fit on them – eventually I gave up carrying them to sessions and took them out of my newborn prop crate. And of course I didn’t think of them until after I got home from Baby S’s session.
Baby C fit the scales perfectly and at just 4 days old she slept so well that we captured a huge range of other beautiful portraits too.
Happy Mother’s day Viv – I hope you enjoy these!
Welcome to the world baby Z!
This morning I was privileged to be able to capture the the long awaited birth of Baby Z. I was overjoyed to be there to see this very special welcome their new addition.
Mum laboured so well and was so strong and the family got some wonderful time together to bond after he was born, but after a good cuddle Baby Z was still a little cold so he went off for some time in the nursery to warm up.
Normally I only post a 3 to 5 images in a blog post, but I know there are people far and wide who have been waiting for this little guy’s arrival, so for all of you – here he is!
