Christmas Mini Sessions 2008

I can’t quite get my head around it, but it’s that time of year again. I know Christmas seems a safe distance away but I am almost fully booked for this year (I might be able to squeeze one more newborn into December, but that would be it!) and my deadlines for fulfilling orders in time for Christmas are looming fast.

So for all of you who have done Christmas cards with me in the past, or would like to do so this year, who would like to give portraits of your children as gifts, who want to update the family portrait on your wall or just want to meet me and have your first session – this event is for you!

I will be doing a series of Christmas Mini Sessions across the first weekend in November, spaces are limited and it will be strictly first in first served. Email me at the following address to register:

jo (at) littlefeetphotography (dot) com (dot) au

The details are:

  • One 30 minute portrait session in Greenwich, Sydney, immediate family only.
  • 5-10 images to choose from.
  • 50 custom designed Christmas Cards printed on Fine Art paper with matching envelopes.
  • One 8×12″ Custom Art Print.
  • Viewing/Ordering Session at a Lower North Shore location in Mid November.

All for $350.

So apart from being a great deal how is this different from my usual sessions?

  • It’s short and sweet, which I think is great for everyone at such a busy time of year.
  • You get cards and a portrait for your wall (or to give to Granny) included in the price.
  • You come to me for the shoot AND the viewing session.
  • The dates for the shoots and viewing sessions are fixed.
  • There won’t be time for clothing changes or props (except maybe a favourite teddy that just has to come).

What remains the same?

  • You get to spend some quality time with me – even if it is short and sweet :-) .
  • You get custom portraits and custom designed cards.
  • You may add on digital negative packages, canvas’ & prints, albums & books if you wish.
  • Your session fee (the $350) needs to be paid in full to hold your place.

And because I can’t post without photos here are some more of John, Jacqueline and Baby Lachlan – my test family! There has been quite a bit of “testing” going on during the last week actually, I got a bit over excited – but some of the portraits are secret , shhh!

Sneak Peak: Harry and Jack

I spent part of today chasing after two of the most gorgeous little boys and it totally made my day. I really do love my job.

It also made me remember all sorts of things I keep meaning to put on my website – like not to be surprised if I turn up to your shoot in jeans, a white tshirt and birkenstocks, which is pretty much a uniform for me when shooting. I need to wear white so that when you can see me in your childs eyes (yes it does happen quite often!) I don’t look like a blob of black or red or some other colour in the middle of their blue eyes – but don’t be surprised if that white shirt has a few marks on it I just can’t get out. As soon as I start chasing your kids, wading into mucky ponds, rolling on the ground and climbing trees or rocks to get the shot I want it will become completely obvious why!

And speaking of getting dirty – smart casual is great for shoots with kids because they (and I) always do seem to end up a bit dirty, though I try to make sure it doesn’t show in the photos! At one point today after rolling around on the ground with Jack and Harry I got up saying “Now who’s the dirtiest?”. Nicola confidently told me “That will be Jack!” then looked at me again and said “Actually, that would be you!”

Thanks so much for today Nicola, Jeff, Harry and Jack. I hope you enjoy your preview – I can’t wait finish them all and come show you!

Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of hanging out with Deborah, Garmini, Phoebe and Miranda for a few hours. Deborah won this session during the fundraising auction at my daughter Isabelle’s school fair last December and it’s taken us almost a year to finally do the session. All sorts of things conspired against us, but this weekend we got all our ducks in a row and made it happen.

Thank you all for being so welcoming and so tolerant of my requests, even the stranger ones! I can’t wait to finish your session off and come show you all the wonderful portraits we made.

Yesterday I had the privilege of attending the birth of Baby Kate. She is just gorgeous and her parents are awfully clever to have produced such a special little person. Congratulations Rae, Tim, Sam & Jessica on the arrival of baby Kate, you are such a beautiful family and well and truly deserve a wonderful relaxed first week with your new baby.

Thank you all again for allowing me to be part of such a precious and personal time.
