Wings!
Vivienne works with my husband Jesse, but in the Adelaide office. We met for the first time on Friday night when she was in town for a work function. I had heard lots of good things about her and was looking forward to meeting her but the second I saw her perfect belly and her amazing personality I knew I had to photograph her (and yes you can see that sparkly personality the moment she walks into a room). Somehow we managed to squeeze some time out of her already busy weekend in Sydney. Vivienne you are are so gorgeous, thankyou so much for indulging me!
Funny story, about halfway through the shoot Vivienne mentioned how much she wished she had a pair of wings for the shoot and we ended up going back to my house to raid my daughters’ wing collection! I love it when people bring their own ideas and style to a shoot.
Sneak Peak: Baby Lydia
I love being able to follow through with families, capturing their maternity portraits and then the joy of meeting their new baby. Can you believe how gorgeous this little girl is? And her parents are just so in love with her. I love seeing Dad’s being so gentle and tender with their new babies and the fabulous contrast between their big hands and their tiny baby.
Newborns always make me sigh and remember that I have one of the best jobs in the world.
On mother’s milk and kisses fed.
The breastfeeding relationship between a mother and child is such a special thing, I felt so honoured to capture the bond that these two share. Having fed two toddlers myself I was completely charmed by all the little games they played together while feeding.
Sneak Peak: Baby S
You may recall that D’s maternity session barely happened before baby arrived. Well the newborn session was a bit of a drama too, but with a little help from some friends it all came together and it was so worth it. Welcome to the world sweet baby girl, you are so loved and it is so obvious for all to see!
Sneak Peak: Katie’s Maternity
I had a great time today meeting up with Kate after, right after her babyshower no less. Pregnant women are so beautiful and love helping them see that in themselves. Thanks for today Katie (and Mike)!
